Bamboo Fusion massage incorporates different lengths and diameters of solid bamboo sticks that are shaped to slide smoothly over the body with oil. The bamboo pieces are specifically designed and treated to be the perfect tool for massage. They are heated on a moist heating pad which allows the pieces to be heated to an optimum temperature thus enabling maximum retention of heat.

Ashiatsu Bar Therapy
In this session the therapist utilizes their body weight and bare feet to apply a mild and relaxing therapeutic massage. Gravitational force is combined with centrifugal and centripetal movements. The correct application will induce deep relaxation, decrease pain, inflammation, and create structural change in chronic soft tissue damage. Parallel wooden bars are used above the therapists head for support, balance and client safety. Total session is 90 mins.

Deep tissue massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress due to malalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of Deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure the client doesn’t get uncomfortable. Soreness is common after the treatment, and plenty of water should be ingested afterward.

Can I get a massage during pregnancy?
Prenatal massage is a great way to ease the aches and pains of carrying a baby. That being said, take precautions. Make sure you have clearance from your Medical Provider and your massage therapist is experienced with pregnancy massage.
Do I have to take my clothes off?
No! We only ask you to remove clothing only as far as you feel comfortable. If you only want to undress to your underwear that’s fine. A private bathroom is provided for undressing and we will provide you with blankets/towels to cover you during your massage.
Should I talk during my massage?
It’s up to you. Some people like to remain quiet and listen to music during their massage. Others like to make light conversation. Tell your therapist your preference. Whether you like to talk or stay quiet, you should absolutely tell the massage therapist if you’re ever uncomfortable–if you’re too hot, too cold, or can’t stand the music.
What if I fall asleep?
You may get drowsy during your massage, so don’t worry about falling asleep. If you fall asleep we know you are relaxed. It doesn’t bother us and we will wake you up to let you know when the massage has ended. You are welcome to take a few minutes to yourself to keep relaxing and soak it all in before getting dressed and continuing your day.

When should I avoid getting a massage?
In general, there are a few conditions that would prevent you from getting a massage. Of course, do not schedule an appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, cold, or a skin condition that is contagious. The first trimester of pregnancy is generally considered off-limits for massage, as are active chemotherapy, or other intensive medical treatments.
What should I expect during my first massage visit?
You will be required to fill out a health history form. We may also ask more in-depth questions to establish which areas you would like to focus on, or if there are any specific conditions needing to be addressed. It is important to list all health concerns and medication so that your therapist can adapt your session to your specific needs. It is also important to specify any allergies so that your therapist may adjust the oil or cream being used during your treatment.
Do I have to be completely undressed? What do I wear for massage?
You may undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others choose to be nude. You will have a private room to undress and then lie on the massage table under a top sheet. Regardless if you choose to maintain some clothing or not, your massage therapist will always ensure that you are always properly covered.
Will the massage hurt?
In general, massages should not hurt. In fact, if you are in pain during a massage, this may cause your muscle to seize up, making the relaxing effect more difficult to achieve. If the pressure is too intense, speak up immediately so your therapist can adjust.
How often should I get a massage?
Individual preference varies, so for most, it depends on your pain, physical needs, emotional needs, and of course, budget. Receiving a massage regularly has the most benefit; this can be as often as weekly or monthly.
How much do you tip for a massage?
Many clients are unsure if and/or how much they should tip their massage therapist. The therapist loves their tip to reflect your appreciation for their service. For most people, this ranges from 15-25% depending on their level of satisfaction with their session.
Why does my therapist tell me to drink lots of water?
The therapist instructs clients to drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage.
